Working On A New Portfolio

I have to be honest, my portfolio is sooooo 2008. I really appreciate the work the Normal Design Group did with it last year, but I think it’s high time for a little upgrade. Nothing too major, but I want to upgrade the freshness of it all and seeing as I’ve done a ton of work since the last time I updated, I’ve decided to rethink the whole idea. Couple that with the fact that the group over at One Night Site have agreed to help me make the transition to WordPress and I’ve decided to go ahead and start from scratch.

For the last couple of months I’ve been following Tony Almeida’s Twitter account and I have to admit, he’s pretty damn awesome. I’ve gotten THIS close to dropping him a response only to be stopped by my conscience screaming to me that this isn’t real. But is it?

Twitter on Facebook
I’ve been using the Twitter application in Facebook and so far it’s been pretty good. I like how it allows users to control both networks with one system. It allows for more frequnt updates without having to go through the hassle of bouncing between the two.
My only gripe? The Facebook “What are you doing right now?” component inserts a default “is” in front of each statement. “Scott L is… making a sandwich.” But the Twitter app doesn’t do this so you have to remember to manually insert the “is” or your statement looks a little strange. “Scott L More >
