Lil’ Red Riding Hood Goes Twilight-ish
Nov 15th
Morning all,
Yes, it’s another week and another chance to sit back and try to remember your weekend. To jog your memory slightly (yeah I have no idea where that segway fits in here…) check out a couple of images of the new feature Red Riding Hood coming out next March.
The flick stars Amanda Seyfried as Red, Michael Shanks (you’ll remember him as Hawkman from Smallville), Gary Oldman, Lukas Haas and Virginia Madsen. Red Riding Hood is being directed by the woman who got ousted (or purposely left depending what story you believe) from the Twilight franchise Catherine Hardwicke. To be honest, after reading a brief More >

Signing Off – For a lil’ while
May 4th
Okay Canuck fans,
Reality has set in – we can stop deciding whether or not the parade should cross the Granville Street Bridge. Last night Chicago showed that they are more than just a bunch of Andrew Ladd’s. Versteeg and Sharp stepped up exposed the broken axle known as the Alberts-Bieksa combination. We lost, we deserved it, lets go home and redeem ourselves. Case closed.
Onto more exciting things. I’m going to be signing off for the rest of this week and the beginning of next as I’ve made the conscious decision to actually vacation. I won’t be checking email, I won’t More >

An Astronomical Event That Occurs When One Celestial Object Moves Into The Shadow Of Another
Mar 24th
I’ll give you a minute to catch your breath after reading through that encyclopedia of a title (in fact, I stole that directly from Wikipedia).
Are we all here now?
In case you haven’t figured it out yet, the title is the definition of an Eclipse. Not to be confused with the movie posters below.
(Tweenage girls may now gasp)

Wouldn’t It Be Cool If….
Aug 28th
I remember WAY back when I was still in high school and picture day came around. For some it was an event – girls get the hair and make-up done as well as the nails and the newest outfits, guys plow through their heads with large amounts of hair spray and practice their non-smile… (blah) but for someone like me it was torture. I’ve never been at the height of fashion, the epitome of cool or even someone who would be recognized for… something. Instead I was always the kid who showed up on picture day in the same shirt More >
New – New Moon Book Cover = Mo Money For Meyer
Jun 28th
I’ve read a few articles hating tons on the latest book cover for Stephanie Meyer’s New Moon. Some of it is funny, others ridiculous, but the bottom line is it’s getting people to talk. Hell, even I’m posting about it so it can’t be all that boring right? Anyways, I thought I’d throw my 2 cents into the mix after reading this on Latino Review the other day. I don’t like backwards marketing with franchises. What I mean is I don’t think I could ever buy a book that ever mentioned or had anything to do with a movie. The reason More >
True Blood – Better than Twilight
Jun 17th
I’m sure I’ll only get a really good argument out of a 13-year-old girl, but I have to say that the HBO series and book written by Charlaine Harris, True Blood is miles ahead of anything Stephanie Meyer has penned. I understand that both the Sookie Stackhouse series and the Twilight series are for two completely different audiences, but I have to say that the entertainment value on an intellectual front is much higher for Harris’s stories. I had watched the first few episodes of True Blood when the series first launched mostly because it was brought to screen by Alan Ball from 6 More >
