Machete Trailer Looks Like Grindhouse… Again
Jul 13th
I like Robert Rodriguez. Ever since the El Mairachi series I always thought he had a certain niche in modern movie making that separated him from a lot of other standard action movie makers. After Sin City I really thought he was going to put himself in the upper echelon of digital filmmaking since some of the things he pulled off in that flick were truly great. But then something strange happened and I’m not sure why. When Rodriguez and his buddy Quentin Tarantino decided to get together and make the double feature Grindhouse it seemed as though he took a small step back. More >
A Nostalgic Anime Moment
Sep 24th
I’m not a big anime fan at all. In fact, I don’t even really know what you would classify as anime these days and the only reason I’m aware of the term is cause I have an Akira action figure and a friend once asked if I enjoyed screaming someone’s name from across a field, jumping 6 miles into the air and shooting some kind of light towards… anything. I proceeded to respond with, “Um no. But I do believe Japanese animators were onto something with the way they create the most un-proportionate looking human bodies….”

Back to the Boondocks

The trailer for All Saints Day, the sequel to Boondocks Saints has finally hit the Interweb!!!!
Alright, so my excitement isn’t really worthy of the 4 BAMS (!!!!) I give it in the opening statement, but come on, the pointless violence has to tug at your heart at least a little. I wasn’t a gigantic fan of the first film, but I didn’t complain as much as some people. Sure it could be seen a Quentin Tarantino rip-off, but who cares, and really, who isn’t ripping someone off these days? Director Troy Duffy should actually be praised a little for accomplishing what a lot More >
The Basterds Hit Theatres Tomorrow
Aug 20th
I’m sure some theaters are going to do a midnight showing of Quentin Tarantino‘s latest flick Inglourious Basterds, but I don’t think I’ll be heading out that late this evening. Instead, I’ll probably check it out sometime this weekend. Anyways, if you’re unsure about what I’m talking about, Inglourious Basterds is the next film to come out of the Tarantino legacy. This is the big WWII film he’s been planning / writing for years now and when the script was released a little under a year ago, this flick was fast-tracked into production. You may have already heard of the More >
The Basterd Business is a Boomin’
Apr 16th
Since I don’t watch American Idol I had no idea this was premiered on TV this week, but after watching it via this website called Youtube (sarcasm intended) I’m once again in dreamland over Quentin Tarantino’s next project. I’ve been all over Inglourious Basterds since the first announcement of a completed script. I even went as far as reading what is probably a fake. I’ve seen trailers, oogled over some of the photography released from the flick so far and wondered how QT was going to incorporate someone like Mike Myers into his story….
Here’s the answer.
Here’s the full trailer: “I want my scalps!”
