Norton For Bourne
Jul 13th
Morning all,
Like I’ve mentioned before, I like the Bourne series. I’m one of those people who has yet to read a single book that the movies are based, but I thoroughly enjoy the movies. Lots of action, lots of funky camera moves and lots of explosions. I’m not a huge Matt Damon fan, but I thought he did a fine job with the series thus far. Well, I guess the (old) news of Jeremy Renner taking the lead in the latest Bourne flick, Bourne Legacy, is a good thing. Damon was fun, but I’m excited to see where Tony Gilroy goes with the passing More >
The LONG List Of ‘Bourne’s
Mar 1st
So with Matt Damon becoming like this gigantic mega star with flicks like Invictus, True Grit and the upcoming Adjustment Bureau I guess it’s only fair to let him off the hook when he decided not to reprise his role of Jason Bourne in the Bourne saga. I mean, he did do three action packed Bond-like flicks that saw him beat up on some pretty badass dudes. Whether or not it was Damon’s decision to leave Jason Bourne behind or if the story just progressed that way, one thing is for sure, we’re going to get a new Bourne. The 4th Bourne More >
Elysium Is A Go
Jan 21st
Morning all,
Been a little while, so I’ll jump right into things.
Our favourite prodigal son of sci-fi recently got another big check mark in the in column as Neill Blomkamp’s Elysium has gotten the final green light from Sony for distribution. Sony Pictures backed District 9 before most of us saw the flick in theatres a couple of years ago and it looks like the tune of $210 Million in the bank is a good enough reason to try it again. Elysium has been in the works for a while now and with a locked down cast that includes Sharlto Copely, Jodie Foster and Matt Damon, More >
True Grit Looking Truly Amazing
Sep 28th
As a ridiculously faithful fan of the HBO series Deadwood, I’ve been patiently waiting for another awesome take on the old west. Well, I guess patience pays off in a big way because it looks as the the Coen Bros has answered. True Grit looks amazing and although it won’t be a TV series like Deadwood, it looks like it adopts a similar principle – be as real and as brutal as possible.
This already looks like it’ll win some kind of cinematography award and the cast (all Coen Bros veterans save the little girl) is top notch. Let’s put it this way:

The Anti-Bourne – Matt Damon is The Informant
Jul 2nd
Check out this trailer for Matt Damon‘s latest flick The Informant. If you’re expecting a hard-hitting intense spy movie, then move aside, The Informant looks like one of the better comedies to come from Steven Soderbergh boasting a nice little cast. A bit of a change from his Ocean’s 11 days. Anyways, check out the trailer below – it looks like it could be a fun flick.
Bourne Again
May 17th
It’s a glorious long weekend out here in Vancouver and I decided to take advantage of the time off… And watch a trilogy of movies. Yeah I know I probably should have gone outside at least once, but I’ve still got one day left right? That’s the beauty of a long weekend.
Anyways, here are my thoughts towards the Bourne Trilogy after watching all three straight through for about the third time in a year.
You know when you see an actor and you neglect to use their real name when referring too them? For example, Hugh Jackman is Wolverine! Eli Wood is Frodo! and More >
