Much Ado In The Whedonverse
Oct 25th
Morning all,
Anyone get taken a bit off guard on Sunday when Nathan Fillion started dropping random links to this site via Twitter? Well, get in line. The super secret film project is finally out in the open and Joss Whedon fans are about to get a taste of his interpretation of Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing. That’s right, amidst filming and promoting one of the biggest movies to come across movie theatre screen since Avatar, writer, director and producer Joss Whedon managed to make a film in complete secret. Maybe Avengers is all about deflecting media up until this big release? Doubtful, I know.

Here’s The Avengers Trailer
Oct 13th
If you’ve been living in a cave for the past few days, or if you’ve just been enthralled by the iOS5 update yesterday, then you might have been the only person in the world to to have missed the premier of the very first official trailer for Joss Whedon‘s The Avengers. All smugginess aside, it’s working so far for me. It does have a lot of Transformers-esque sounds to it, but the trailer so far, is enough to hold everyone over for at least a couple of more months. To be honest, I didn’t really care how terrible the trailer turned out (although it More >
Top 3 Comic-Con Movie Moments
Jul 25th
Morning all,
Hope this weekend treated you well. I can only guess how exciting everything was for those who were able to attend Comic-con 2011, but now that it’s over I guess it’s time to start debating the biggest stories and announcements. I’ll be honest, I wasn’t as excited about this year’s Con because it sounds like next year will be huge with the releases fo Batman: The Dark Knight Rises and Superman: Man of Steel. But wow, after reading up on all of the cool things that happened down there I’d have to say they definitely made 2011 a year to remember.

Vancouver Girl 2nd In Command Over At S.H.I.E.L.D.
Feb 8th
Some news that was buzzing around this weekend was finally confirmed last evening as Joss Whedon will officially welcome Cobie Smulders to the cast The Avengers. Known to most people for portraying Robin Scherbatsky on CBS’s How I Met Your Mother, Cobie is actually a West Coast Canadian girl with roots in Vancouver. This is actually pretty cool to see her get the nod in such a big production. She’s done some movies before, but not really anything worth remembering. A Joss Whedon directed Avengers flick is just what she needs to start convincing people that there’s another Kobe/Cobie in LaLa.

Buffy Reboot Is An Abomination
Nov 23rd
I hope you’re sitting down when you read this cause it’s going to make you sick to your stomach… It has been officially announced that Buffy The Vampire Slayer will be rebooted for theatres. If you’re looking for a bucket I can understand. If you would like to slowly creep towards the window-sill I understand. But before you make the plunge, it might be a good idea to read Joss Whedon‘s reaction to this terrible news.
I’m glad you asked for my thoughts on the announcement of Buffy the cinema film. This is a sad, sad reflection on our times, when More >
The Many Faces Of Bruce Banner
Jul 12th
Morning kids,
With this weekend’s news of Ed Norton (an all-time favourite of mine) not returning to the screen as Bruce Banner in the new Avengers flick it got me thinking about Marvel’s continuity with Banner on the screen as a whole. Yes, it kind of sucks that Norton won’t be returning for what looks to be the biggest super-hero movie/comic book adaptation of all time, but at the same time, should we really be surprised? Here is a breakdown of the actors who have portrayed Banner over the years.
From 1978 – 1982 Bruce Banner was played on television by Bill Bixby. When More >
Did Mister Shoo Really Up-Stage NPH?
May 19th
In order to decipher the title, you would have had to have watched last evening’s episode of Glee (directed by Joss Whedon nonetheless). I actually put aside my craving for an ending to Lost and watched the Fox singing sensation last night instead. Don’t worry, I’m going to catch up tonight but until then I’m hoping nobody spoils it for me.
Anyways, back to Glee. I was super excited to find out that Neil Patrick Harris was going to guest star this season so I made sure to mark last evening in the old TV Guide (do people even subscribe to that anymore?). Being a bit of More >
