Anyone else disappointed with the 21 Jump Street Trailer?
Nov 4th
Morning all,
I’m going to try my very hardest not to go on a rant, but I’m not making any promises.
Let’s start where this should, the original. Who out there remembers the original 21 Jump Street TV show? I recently picked up the entire series for like $20 so if you haven’t seen it, it’s worth the price. But I’ll be clear, the TV show was nothing to cheer about. The story lines were progressive for their time and they had an up-and-coming cast of Johnny Depp and Holly Robinson, but in the end it’s pretty much the Degrassi with less Canada. With that being More >
“No Kimosabe,” Says Disney
Aug 15th
Morning all,
Hope everyone had a nice weekend. On a completely unrelated note to this particular post, I’m wondering if anyone actually dished out the $70 door price to go see Kevin Smith premier Red State at the Toronto Underground Theatre or even in Vancouver. I would totally go for about half that price, but I’m not as die-hard a Kevin Smith fan as some I guess.
Okay, back to the question at hand… What happened with The Lone Ranger flick? I mean, before this weekend there was nothing but positive news concerning the casting of who the actual Lone Ranger was going to be (Armie Hammer). They More >
Jonah And Channing Go To Jump Street
Dec 2nd
The New Guys
I knew I did the right thing in spending $30 on all 5 seasons of 21 Jump Street and all of Booker for Cyber Monday. Not only will I be able to relive the awesomeness that was the Jump Street crew, but I can treat it as a huge prequel to the new 21 Jump Street movie by Jonah Hill. That’s right, the chunky kid from 40 Year Old Virgin, Superbad and Get Him To The Greek has written the script and will star in the upcoming feature based on the late 80′s TV show that changed the face of cop shows forever… More >
Tim Depp or Johnny Burton?
Dec 8th
Seriously, I’m all for dynamic duos. There’s Batman and Robin (sort of), Holmes and Watson, Han and Chewy – but when actor slash director duos are formed it gets to be a bit much. Take for instance Ron Howard and Tom Hanks. Yes, both are pretty amazing in their own right, but after a bunch of flicks together, I think things are getting a bit stagnant with all of the religious code deciphering in Europe. Well, I think Ron Hanks has some competition in Tim Burton and Johnny Depp.
When the duo got together and made Edward Scissorhands all those years ago, who would have guessed it was eternal More >
Dr. Parnassus Trailer
Aug 18th
The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus seems like one of those flicks that just won’t completely come forth and say, “Hey Come Watch Me.” I mean we’ve been hearing about this Terry Gilliam flick since the tragic death of Heath Ledger and the story of how his pals Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Ferrell stepped in to help complete the film, but I think it’s time we actually get to see the movie. This hits a little bit close to home as a lot of the flick was filmed in Burnaby (the suburban bubble I currently reside in) but because of the nature of the flick, More >
Wonderous Trailer
Jul 23rd
DT over at Killahbeez just sent this to me and I figured I’d share it here as well. Enjoy this awesome looking trailer from Alice in Wonderland. I think this was screened to people at Comic-Con just a few hours ago. Man I wish I was there instead of here….
Facebook Running Wonderland Trailer Competition
Jul 21st
This is actually a pretty cool idea. Facebook has teamed up with Tim Burton and the marketing crew behind the new Alice in Wonderland flick and have decided to run a bit of a friendly competition. They’ve created three fan pages for the live action fantasy. One is for fans of the Red Queen being played by Helena Bonham Carter. If you haven’t seen the image they’ve been running of Carter lately you can check it below. The next fan page running on Facebook is for the White Queen being played by Anna Hathaway. Same deal for her, you can check the image below. Finally, More >
Who is Amitabh Bachchan and why is he so awesome?

Amitabh Bachchan
Hey what’s going on?
So what’s with my fascination with Amitabh Bachchan? I recently watched Slumdog Millionaire and became absolutely enthralled with the first story. When Jamal is asked about a Bollywood film star he tells a tale of when he was young and how he met Amitabh Bachchan after diving feet first into a pile of shit.
So after seeing how much of a star Amitabh Bachchan was out in India I decided to ask around. Turns out Amitabh Bachchan was bigger than roti out in India through the 70′s and 80′s. A brown friend of mine confirms this by More >
