Winter Is Coming Back! Game of Thrones Season Deuce
Feb 2nd
Morning all,
Hopefully your coffee is brewed and your toast is crunchy – and if not then I hope your day turns out splendidly.
Anyways, just thought I’d share my excitement for the return of Game of Thrones on HBO on April 1st. Wait a minute, isn’t that April Fools? Awe man, does that mean HBO is gonna play some cruel joke on everyone who’s a fan of the show? I hope they don’t do a “Psych!” and make us wait even longer. Okay, back to the subject at hand. I’ve totally geeked out and read all of the books that have been released. More >
True Blood Mythology Infographic
Sep 20th
Morning all,
So I was poking around Screenrant this morning (great resource by the way) and they’ve posted this little doozy to help True Blood fans (and non-fans) understand all of the different creatures in the series. With the fourth season coming to an end a couple of weeks ago on HBO, we’re left with so much more than just vampires. So far we’ve seen Vamps, Werewolves, Shapeshifters, Witches, Fairies….. The list goes on. Thankfully we’ve now got this to help us out.

Aaron Sorkin’s HBO Adventure
Jul 4th
If you’re a regular follower of BP then you won’t be surprised at all as I express my genuine excitement for Aaron Sorkin‘s latest project for HBO. The Social Network, Studio 60, Sportsnight and West Wing screenwriter is back at it with the tentatively titled “More As The Story Develops.” The rumoured plot of the show is very Sorkin-esque as he takes audiences behind the scenes of a cable news show a-la The Daily Show. You can bet there will be a lot of Tommy Schlamme walking and talking scenes through some long hallways, and you can probably already assume that the More >
Boardwalk Empire Returns
Jun 30th
Morning all,
Anyone else as excited as I am for the return of Boardwalk Empire? The only problem is that HBO hasn’t released and official date for when it’s going to return. As much as I’d like to criticize them for keeping us all in the dark, it’s HBO and well, they can do pretty much whatever they want and probably still remain the brightest network on TV. In any case, I’m very pleased to see that they have released a new trailer thing for the second season. I’m really hoping for more to happen with the half-faced sniper guy. He was More >
Casting for Zebras
Nov 9th
Time for a little bit of obscure casting news for a flick that’s probably not going to get a ton of hype. Hopefully Zebras will catch on with a North American audience based on the story, but if not, it looks like they’ve got an attractive cast leading the way. Before I get into who is going to be in this flick, Zebras is about a music producer who discovers a talented group of soccer players in the ghetto of Soweto (which would have been a nice title if you think about it…). Similar to sports flicks like Remember The Titans and Hardball, and to More >
I’m Kenny Powers MuthaF*%#ers
Aug 20th
Morning kids,
And what a wonderful Friday this is, is it not? Couple that with pay-day and a trip back to Van to see the boys and the Penguin is smitten. But you’re not here to talk about me right? So here’s some cool news coming in.
Kenny Powers is back! HBO’s Eastbound and Down will is returning September 26!!!
Sure we might all be a tad tired of the hillbilly act Danny McBride has become famous for, but Eastbound and Down allows him to step slightly to the left and instead of playing a mullet-headed overweight middle American, he’ll be playing a mullet-headed overweight, More >
True Blood Season 3 Promo
May 18th
As the end of the main television season comes to an end for 2009-2010, you might think some of us avid picture box enthusiasts would be a little bit depressed. I can understand why, I mean the second season of Fringe is winding down this week with what is setting up to be an amazing finale, Castle and his murder mystery solving words are coming to an end for this season and even shows lower on the food chain are closing out like Smallville, Gossip Girl, Bones and How I Met Your Mother. So what are we supposed to do when the sun More >
Been Watching Bored To Death
Sep 29th
HBO always manages to thwart my weekly schedule. Just when I thought it was safe to turn off the television and actually see some sunlight (metaphoric of course since I’m living in Ontario now), they go and suck up another hour of my time. With a stacked roster of shows like Entourage, True Blood, Curb Your Enthusiasm and old episodes of The Wire and Sopranos, HBO has to go and do it again by dropping another quick-witted gem of brilliance with their new show Bored To Death.
If you have no idea what Bored to Death is then here’s my short recap of the More >
