April Fools From Google

This is a good one, especially because I already know 4 people who have sent this to me thinking it’s actually real.
Gmail (and subsequently Google), have done it again this year in releasing a fake feature for one of their products. This year’s culprit is Gmail Motion. The video is really good and I applaud those who kept a straight face while making it. My favourite part? Sending a message. Just lick a stamp and stick it to your knee!!!!
Okay, let’s try and get the office intern to fall for this.

Any Gmail users out there notice this ugly mug popping up in the GTalk chat bar? Who is this fool?
I think Gmail and Google could have advertised GTalk Video a little smarter by not putting this fool with his creepy grin on everyone’s webmail. I have to admit, before I figured out what was going on, I thought this was just some dude creeping on my email looking at me as I replied to some old messages….
Message to Google:
FIND A MORE ATTRACTIVE GTALK VIDEO MODEL OR FIND A NEW WAY TO GET PEOPLE TO USE IT!!!!

What a frosty good morning to everyone out there in Vancouver and the surrounding areas (Surrey not included cause it’s scary and full of drug dealing criminals….). This isn’t going to be long, but I thought I’d share how a tiny, insignificant thing has brightened up my week.
I’m a Gmail whore – as some of you know. I won’t even activate my own personal email for my business because I like the tag “@gmail.com” so much. Lame and a little strange, I know, but blah, this is my blog not yours.

Sifting through the junk folder

What is in here?
Has anyone out there ever gone through their junk folder in email? First off, lots of respect to Gmail for their filtering system – I stopped using Hotmail back in 02 mostly because of over-spammage and I’ve never had that problem since moving over to Gmail. So what’s in the Junk folder today?
First off, I never check this thing – EVER, so the count has gotten up to 140 unread. I think Gmail holds onto them for a week and then purges like a high school cheerleader.
