High on Sierra! Meet Dichen Lachman
Dec 16th
Ah yes, it’s that time of the week/month/and even day I guess when I decide to share a little bit of info on a not-so-well-known (yet) female star. Okay, in the past I haven’t really profiled “stars” but I like to think I can spot talent when I see it. In the last few months I’ve profiled people like Deborah Ann Woll, Naya Rivera and recently Courtney Ford. Today’s profile focuses on Dichen Lachman. According to the phonetics department over at Wikipedia (alright they probably don’t have a phonetics department, but I’ve got this imaginative picture of Wikipedia being a bunch of More >
Dollhouse Cancelled – Fans Are Upset, Whedon Calls it a Wednesday
Nov 12th
You know how all of these moronic parents talk about the violence on TV and video games and how it can desensitize kids? I used to think this was a load, but now that another Joss Whedon gem, Dollhouse, has been kicked to the curb, I’m starting to get desensitized myself. Not with violence or anything, but with Whedon’s shows. Everything (and this is no exaggeration) he has done by ways of episodic television has been chalk full of controversy.
Whedon’s first show, the very famous and still classic Buffy The Vampire Slayer was on the verge of slipping into the grave for More >
The Only Night I’ve Ever Cheered For The Yankees
Nov 5th
Congrats to A-Roid, Jeter and all of the over-paid, over-hyped and over-weight Yankees for winning the World Series last night. I’m not going to lie, I cheered for the Yanks, but not for any reason other than they were leading the series and baseball is FINALLY over this season. For those of you who know me, you already understand my frustration with baseball as a spectator sport. Sure you could say I don’t appreciate the game for what it is, the fact that it’s a thinking man’s game or that baseball is more like a chess match – but I hate chess More >
Summer Glau in Dollhouse
Aug 31st
Just read some interesting news about the upcoming season of Dollhouse premiering September 25th. It turns out that after a really rough start, the Joss Whedon action drama is finally starting to find a niche. We don’t know how long it will last or if it can even make it through an entire season without some studio drama, but for now things are looking quite promising. Turns out Whedon veteran Summer Glau will make an appearance (or a few) in Dollhouse this season but not as a character you might expect. Judging from her past characters (River Tam in Firefly and Cameron Phillips in Terminator) you’d More >
Phew! Dollhouse Returns
May 16th
After all of the confusion and argument over the state of Dollhouse, Fox finally grew some and have decided to renew the series for another season. The news will officially be made on Monday, but for us interweb folks it’ll seem as old as Chocolate Rain. Anyways, it looks as though the deal will be for another 13 episodes, but if its anything like this year 13 actually means 12…
Just a quickie before I head out for the long weekend.
What Am I Going To Do When TV Ends This Season?
May 6th
Last night I came to a realization. Sitting at home in front of my TV in my regular ass-groove, I realized that the next two weeks are going to be the last two weeks of original network television for this season! I’m not one for reruns so I probably won’t be rushing home to check out previous episodes of anything and May marks finale month. I’ve been pretty loyal over the years and every once in a while I’ve picked up a new show to follow, but at this time every season I’m always at a bit of an entertainment More >
A sign of things to come?
Apr 11th
Happy Easter Weekend everyone!
If you’re stuck in a non-governmental job like myself then the long weekend is actually only 3 days instead of the usual 4. Man, I kind of miss school… Okay not really.
Anyways, to make matters worse, I just read that one of my new favorite shows is getting the carpet pulled right from underneath them again. Dollhouse, Joss Whedon‘s latest masterpiece is getting the second-class citizen treatment from Fox again. Here’s what I’ve learned since Friday:
Fox and Whedon’s production company came to agreement for a run of 13 episodes of Dollhouse before anything was shot.
Whedon then had some More >
