Meet The Newmans?
Jul 21st
Check out this 3 minute trailer for the upcoming season of Weeds. When we left the Botwins, Shane had just smashed in a woman’s head and Nancy looked as though she’d have to go back into planning mode. Well, looks like the plan is to live off the grid as… The Newmans? That’s right, the Botwins are changing zip codes and names, but according to this trailer, not business ventures. Enjoy these three minutes and get ready for season 6.
Benji Returns for MI:4
Jul 20th
Morning all,
Not a whole lot of great news this morning with regards to the useless pool of entertainment knowledge, but one thing that has arisen if you’re a Mission Impossible fan is the return of Simon Pegg as Benji. That’s right, the nerdy, techy, sketchy, twitchy guy from Mission Impossible 3 will be returning for the next installment of the Tom Cruise action-fest. Thinking back to MI:3 when JJ took the helm, I really thought things were going to change for the Impossible Mission gang of Ethan and his friends. Although MI:3 was infinitely better than MI:2, it still didn’t have that More >
Feelin’ Comic Con Jealousy
Jul 19th
Morning all,
This upcoming weekend marks the inevitable kick-off to the greatest event of the year… Yes, I’m talking about Comic Con. Please tell me you know what Comic Con is and why it’s so important to a trivial gnome like myself because I don’t feel like writing an entire novel. Anyways, this year’s convention is probably going to generate the most buzz of the year in terms of comics, movies, TV and video games. Yes, each seem to have their own niches and each medium of entertainment could probably fill an entire weekend itself, but Comic Con is a celebration More >
Serena As A Brunette?
Jul 16th
Morning all,
Hope this Friday treats you well. Here’s something to ponder throughout the day, how do you feel about Serena Van Der Woodson as brunette? (Yikes, I just realized that I’m completely showing the side of me that is mildly obsessed with Gossip Girl…. I watch it for the articles I swear). Anyways, actress Blake Lively will be hitting the big screen next year in a big way playing Ryan Reynolds‘ lady in the Green Lantern flick. I have to admit, I’m becoming more and more excited to see this when it hits theatres. I’m not the biggest Lantern fan, nor am I even More >
Some Comic Book Movie Updates
Jul 15th
Morning all,
Just a few updates to give all of you who actually interested. If you’re not, please proceed to something more relevant. I suggest this site.
1 – Check out a preview of the Green Lantern cover for Entertainment Weekly. Looks like it’s the Comic-Con issue. I miss Comic-Con like I miss ice-cream on a hot day.
2 – Ed Norton is out, and it looks like Mark Ruffalo is in. So much for going for an unknown to play Bruce Banner in the Avengers.
3 – Check out Anthony Hopkins in Thor.
(please note that I was REALLY lazy this morning so instead More >
Trailer For It’s Kind Of A Funny Story
Jul 14th
Morning all
Welcome to hump day… Get your mind out of the gutter and follow me down this twisted road of interesting news and visuals from around the globe with regards to trivial information and useless knowledge (whoa… dramatic much?). Anyways, just a quick one this morning. Check out the trailer below for a flick called, It’s Kind Of A Funny Story. With the headliner being none other than chunky comedy genius Zach Galifianakis supported by Emma Roberts and newcomer Kier Gilchrist (don’t ask me how to pronounce “Kier” unless you want to hear something offensive), Funny Story looks like it could be one More >
Machete Trailer Looks Like Grindhouse… Again
Jul 13th
I like Robert Rodriguez. Ever since the El Mairachi series I always thought he had a certain niche in modern movie making that separated him from a lot of other standard action movie makers. After Sin City I really thought he was going to put himself in the upper echelon of digital filmmaking since some of the things he pulled off in that flick were truly great. But then something strange happened and I’m not sure why. When Rodriguez and his buddy Quentin Tarantino decided to get together and make the double feature Grindhouse it seemed as though he took a small step back. More >
The Many Faces Of Bruce Banner
Jul 12th
Morning kids,
With this weekend’s news of Ed Norton (an all-time favourite of mine) not returning to the screen as Bruce Banner in the new Avengers flick it got me thinking about Marvel’s continuity with Banner on the screen as a whole. Yes, it kind of sucks that Norton won’t be returning for what looks to be the biggest super-hero movie/comic book adaptation of all time, but at the same time, should we really be surprised? Here is a breakdown of the actors who have portrayed Banner over the years.
From 1978 – 1982 Bruce Banner was played on television by Bill Bixby. When More >
