Morning all,
I love it when a trailer surprises you and so is the case with the first official movie trailer for Snow White and the Huntsman. I’ll admit, I was really skeptical when I heard about this flick, but can you really blame me? The girl from Twilight battles Charlize Theron and gets hunted by Thor. If you think about that for a second it comes off a bit campy. But the cynic in my has been denied by this great looking trailer.

Stifler Punches A Lot Of People In Goon

While my Canucks are on a long hiatus chillin’ in California playing golf or something, I thought I’d take this opportunity to show everyone a little bit of hockey entertainment, you know, just to get a fix. Check out the red band trailer for Goon. This flick has already flown under the radar for the most part, but considering I’m in Canada, I am a little bit surprised there wasn’t a huge buzz around this earlier. Why not kick this week off with a look at the latest video game commercial for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare? I’m sure there’s like a tonne of sequel numbers I’m missing, but blah who cares, these games are pretty much all the same right? Anyways, COD has put out some pretty good commercials for the release of their games. If you remember back to last year there was the “Everyone’s a Soldier,” concept which was pretty good, but the next time around they’ve really outdone themselves.

I’m going to try my very hardest not to go on a rant, but I’m not making any promises.
Let’s start where this should, the original. Who out there remembers the original 21 Jump Street TV show? I recently picked up the entire series for like $20 so if you haven’t seen it, it’s worth the price. But I’ll be clear, the TV show was nothing to cheer about. The story lines were progressive for their time and they had an up-and-coming cast of Johnny Depp and Holly Robinson, but in the end it’s pretty much the Degrassi with less Canada. Much Ado In The Whedonverse

Morning all,
Anyone get taken a bit off guard on Sunday when Nathan Fillion started dropping random links to this site via Twitter? Well, get in line. The super secret film project is finally out in the open and Joss Whedon fans are about to get a taste of his interpretation of Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing. That’s right, amidst filming and promoting one of the biggest movies to come across movie theatre screen since Avatar, writer, director and producer Joss Whedon managed to make a film in complete secret. Maybe Avengers is all about deflecting media up until this big release? Doubtful, I know.
It’s Batman Week

Okay, so it’s probably not the official Batman week, but in my world it is. See, this week saw the release of one of the most anticipated video game titles in a long time – Batman: Arkham City. The game looks and sounds spectacular. But it’s not all about the video games here. This week also saw the DVD and Blu-Ray release of the latest DC animated feature – Batman: Year One. I’ve written about my excitement about this release before, but I didn’t actually put two and two together with the release date of the video game.
