I guess it’s that time of year again right? You know what I’m talking about. The time of year when Woody Allen reminds us all that his movies are so unique. Even though flicks like Vicky Christina Barcelona, Match Point and Whatever Works haven’t been generating the type of classic movie talk his earlier work has done, there are some of us that still enjoy a good Woody Allen flick.

Well, here’s his latest.

Midnight In Paris features Owen Wilson, Rachel McAdams, Marion Cotillard, Michael Sheen, Adrien Brody and Kathy Bates just to name a few. I can tell you before even seeing anything about this flick, the cast is already very promising. The story seems to follow a young American couple in Paris. After experiencing some initial bliss, they discover that there are some great things in life that they will need to do separately. WOW I really shit all over that description…. Thankfully I’ve got a trailer instead. Enjoy.

Ouch… A-Brod. That was a stretch I guess. Anyways, I’m sure a lot of you out there have already seen, or at least heard of this new Predator movie that is currently being filmed. Well, here are some set pics I stole from some other dude’s blog. I guess it could be a girl’s blog, but who cares at this point. Just scroll down and have a looksie.

So, as you can tell – there really isn’t a whole lot going on here; but I can tell you exactly what I found on IMDB (man, I’m awesome at research….). The new flick is simply called Predators. It stars Adrien Brody, Larry Fishburne, Danny Trejo and…. get this, Topher Grace. Yup – that scronny kid from the 70′s show is going to battle and elite alien race just like Arnold and Danny Glover. Who knows, this could be a hit – I mean it is being directed by a guy named Nimrod.

There’s been a lot of news surrounding Robert Rodriguez‘s remake / latest installment of the Predator franchise. You remember Predator right? That deadlocked squid looking thing that got its ass kicked by Arnold and…. Danny Glover? (BTW – I choose not to acknowledge the recent installments of flicks like Alien vs Predator). Well after a lot of talk this year, Rodriguez may have finally found his leading man. Drum Roll Please….

Adrien Brody….????

Yes, you read that correctly. The Oscar winner has apparently been lobbying for a lead role in Rodriguez’s Predator for some time now and it looks like he’ll get his wish. So far there hasn’t been a lot of news released on the story of the new Predator series, but knowing RR’s obsession with green screen and special effects, you can expect something completely different from Alien vs Predator. I have a feeling he’ll bring back the old skool feel of the first Predator flick where its really just man vs something they can’t see in the jungle. In the past I’ve been very skeptical of any franchise revivals, but JJ Abrams changed all of the last year with Star Trek so Rodriguez can thank him for the slight bit of optimism.
