Morning all,

Has anyone out there been following E3? Of course you have. Of course you’re up to speed on Assassin’s Creed and you’re filled with glee over another Final Fantasy…. (wow – I seriously can’t believe I just did that). Okay anyways, one of the more interesting things about conferences like E3, Comic-Con, Wonder-Con, Import Car Shows and anything that involves a panel with a guy who still lives in his mom’s basement is how new products and companies garner attention to themselves. Some companies pass out pens and business cards, others offer free samples, but in the case of conferences like these, the easy way out is to hire a soon-to-be female adult video star and dress her up… For No Reason!

I’ll admit, back in the early 2000′s this worked. Conference attendees (and by that I mean 85% dude) gravitated towards the eye-candy and in most cases that was also her name. Well, over-saturation of the market is now effecting the nerd-hottie industry and the quality is taking a huge dive. Case and point… this year’s E3 Conference.

I’m all for drawing attention to your company and coming up with creative ways to do so can be really fun, but now it just seems like everyone is saying, “let’s hire a B-grade stripper and put her in a Lara Croft outfit.”
