Mr. Hoff? Is that you?

I kid - I did in fact watch this movie from beginning to end, but you are correct and I'm quite guilty of pulling the pretentious a-hole angle. I wouldn't call myself a video hound, but you make some good points. I apologize if I offended any hardcore Baywatch fans out there and if another feature is ever produced, I'll give it another go.

But in all seriousness.... Are you serious?

Doesn't even sound like you even watched the whole movie from your review. What you wrote is a typical review of Baywatch from people who haven't actually watched it (or at least don't get it). It's a fun little movie continued from a highly entertaining show that had a lot more going for it than slow motion segments. While spiced up with hot bods, Baywatch was in essence a family show/soap opera with too many memorable characters to name and well shot and edited moments of cliffhanger suspense from a former sports segment director. It has episodes that are dramatic and realistic, shows that are campy and corny on purpose, shows that are action packed and full of danger, and shows that are a combination of all three or more. That was part of the fun in that Baywatch could take on a different genre from week to week (horror, romance, athletic competition, gang violence, disability drama, etc.). The Baywatch Hawaii movie's a sweet little multiple person cliffhanger with bits of romance and revenge. Don't pull a Video Hound and review movies using sarcasm and blanket statements without citing specific examples and understanding why Baywatch was a number one show seen by more viewers worldwide than any other for an entire decade. Anyone who's seen two minutes of Baywatch could make the generic non-watcher comments that you did here. If the show Baywatch ranks a 10 from its fans, I'd say they'd give this one a 7 or 8 as it cannot please all by the mere fact that some cast members could not appear (there's just been too many over the years) and that it takes a while to set the story up via it's reunion style invitation format. Once it gets going, though, the action never stops and it's a riot that can be taken seriously or tongue in cheek depending on your point of view (anybody can do an MST3K on any film as film's are subjective in terms of good or bad). It's a lot of fun to see this family of characters, especially Mitch and Neely, sharing the screen again. I wish they'd do another one soon.

Wow, totally hijacked my post for your own purposes there Mr. TheCoach!

Not to worry, this is a free for all, I've just looked at your Lion's Den University site. I can see why you're looking for more of an audience because nobody in their right mind would willfully follow your sorry excuse for a blog.

You know, just saying.

With the Winter Olympics not nearly being as popular as the Summer
Olympics, not many people know "who to watch for" when each day comes
up. I mean, I like to know before event's start who is the favourite
in the Men's Luge or Woman's Aerial Ski Jumping. It's tough, but
fortunately TheCoach has provided an in depth guide of who to watch
for and medal hopeful's each day. I mean, yeah you know the hockey
players, and people like Shaun White due to the X-Games, and former
medalists from past games... but who are the up and comers to watch
for?

Feel free to visit:

for an great daily look at the athletes who you should be keeping your
eye on through-out the games.

Best of luck to all athletes.
