Work
I’m a contract interactive storyteller so some of my posts are about my work
On Second Thought…
Apr 2nd
A very interesting thing happened to me the other day. I was contacted by a possible client looking for some interactive writing they would need for an upcoming project. I won’t mention the client name because I’m still a little bit on the fence with this one. Anyways, HR department calls and asks me if I’d be interested in taking something on. I responded with the obvious questions.
So what exactly is it?
What does this company do?
To me, I think these are pretty standard questions. Especially when the client is basically making a cold call to a contractor they might need. More >
Somebody gave me Double Pistols this morning…

Imagine having to deal with this upon arrival
It is becoming strikingly obvious to me that working full time in an office is not my preference, even subconsciously. Usually when things aren’t going so well I’m always able to find the silver lining, but as of late with this gig that I’m a couple months into, I’m finding the silver is slowly rusting over and turning into some sort of mold. Don’t get me wrong, this is a great place to work. The people are pretty fun, the work can be challenging and I seem to have found my niche within More >
WTF is Splenda?
Mar 17th
Natural?
Every morning I’m usually the first one the in the office. This means I’m the first to unlock the doors, the first to turn on the lights and always the first one to make coffee. Here’s the problem – I’m too lazy cheap to buy milk/cream and sugar so my first cup always contains this strange chemical concoction known as Splenda. Sure I could probably go across the street and steal some cream and sugar, but that would involve…. going across the street.
So this morning I did a little bit of research to try and figure out what exactly I’ve been More >

Writing in a Wired Voice
When I first started out in interactive writing my original plan was to develop my skills to the point where people/clients could rely on me for anything in text form. I really wanted to explore everything from ad writing to help content and to a point – become that go-to guy for anything and everything interactive.
Well – it worked.
Combine that with my lack of financial knowledge and the fact that I really don’t care about cash beyond the mortgage and I get roped into some pretty amazing things.

Wizard Defense
Morning kids!
Rumor has it that a lot of people have been playing Wizard Defense lately and the leaderboards are starting to fill up! Thanks to those who have tried it and even more thanks to those who have lowered their productivity levels because of it. This week I’m going to talk a little bit about the story of Wizard Defense.
This isn’t the “Making of,” story, but rather the little tale that many (most?) people skip over as they wait for the next level to load. The quick version is this:

Wizard Defense
Gotta credit Miles for the term “Wizard’s Den,” it’s the name of the room he coined for the WD office over at Big Park. First off, thanks so much for supporting Wizard Defense so far. It’s only been public for a few days now and we’ve been getting a lot of players. I don’t scour the message boards, but I have been getting a few questions from friends that might need some answering in order for them to see the full potential of the game.
So without further ado, here are 3 FAQ’s (okay, maybe not so frequently):

Back in my day...
So as some of you already know, I’ve been “working” for the last month – like in an actual office and stuff….
Anyways, along with waking up with the rest of the world and packing a lunch in the morning, there are a lot of changes. One big one – one that has taken some time to adjust to, is going back to a PC for most of the day. I’m a mac user. Flat out, I love OSX, I’m used to all of the UI’s and I have a routine of things that I do on my More >

Wizard Defense Gameplay
Wizard Defense is my very first venture into the gaming world as a writer. Sure I play a lot of games (some say too much) but this is the first time I’ve ever been involved with the creation of something like this. Built in the More >
