James Franco In 127 Hours
Aug 11th
So I don’t know if ya’ll have heard, but James Franco has or is about to cut off his own arm… Yup, you read that correctly, but there is some context to this statement.
Danny Boyle, the director of Slumdog Millionaire, obviously reads more world news than I do (to be honest, I think my 6 month old niece does as well, but that’s beside the point). After reading about the inspirational story of climber Aron Ralston‘s ordeal on a mountain in Utah, Boyle got right on a treatment and script and has since been building the More >
A Star-Studded Romantical Movie
Aug 10th
We’ve all got that guilty pleasure when it comes to lame movies right? Like for each genre there’s a flick that you just can’t turn away from even though you’d be ridiculously embarrassed to say so in any other person’s presence. Well, that’s how I would introduce this latest trailer for the romantic flick appropriately named The Romantics. This could possibly be a guilty pleasure – but probably nothing more. Again, I’ve been wrong many times in my life (in fact I think I’ve been wrng like 15 times this morning alone) and The Romantics might be a run More >
Batman: Under The Red Hood
Aug 9th
Morning kids
As you can ell by the title, I didn’t get out much this weekend and decided to stay in and watch the latest WB Animated DVD feature Batman: Under The Red Hood. To be honest, I had no idea this was even coming out until the other day, but I made it a priority to see. Now, Batman has been thrown around the animated world for a while now. Batman The Animated Series was an absolute gem back in the day that brought the style and tone of Paul Dini and Bruce Timm to the television screen. Unfortunately there hasn’t been an animated More >
Walternates, Fauxlivias and Alternastrids? Fringe Season 3 Updates
Aug 5th
Morning kids,
The GF was exploring EW’s Ausiello Files last night and stumbled upon this clip from the Fox All Star party from a couple of weeks ago.
What!!!???
Awesome, according to Jasika Nicole (Astrid) the first few episodes of the third season of Fringe will be broken up into alternating episodes between the two universes. I’ve seen how shows have tried to deal with double universes before in that they mix both story lines into single episodes, but like always, Fringe is breaking the norm. With a one-to-one ratio of Them and Us, it sounds as though the creators of Fringe are hoping to get More >
The Goodbye Girl From Scott Pilgrim
Aug 4th
Morning all,
You know when you wake up in the morning and everything is just a little bit pixelated? Well, this morning that is me. All I’m seeing right now is a string of code and a bunch of tiny squares that make up what my body is telling me is reality… Deep huh? Nah, seriously though, check this tune from the upcoming Scott Pilgrim Versus The World soundtrack. The movie doesn’t hit theatres for a couple more weeks, but I’m really diggin this track called Goodbye Girl by Pluto.
Inception Infographic
Aug 3rd
Morning Kids,
For all of you lucky Canadians I hope the long weekend treated you well. We’re going to ease into the week considering it’s a short one so nothing super hardcore right now. Instead, how about a little explanation?
Below you’ll find an infographic that explains the different levels of dreams that Christopher Nolan showed in his latest hit Inception. If you haven’t seen it, I’m sure I’m about the millionth person to say you should. When you do, you’re probably lying to yourself when you tell all of your friends that you completely understood everything. Inception was made to be watched More >
Five Glorious Minutes Of Thor
Jul 29th
Comic Con peeps got a look at 5 amazing minutes of the Thor movie but those of us who weren’t able to make the con can check out the footage here. Looks pretty intense, but for me the best part is Kat Dennings‘ one line.
Enjoy
*WOOPS, looks like the Marvel peeps want to keep this footage under wraps for now. I’m sure it’ll be back online somewhere in a matter of minutes though.
Suckerpunch Looks Great So Far
Jul 29th
Morning all,
Did anyone else catch the new trailer for Suckerpunch that was released on Apple Trailers yesterday? If you did, then fear not, cause here’s an embedded version. Have a looksie and let me know what you think. I’ve got some words about this, but in short… WOW.
Unbelievable. The music choice for the trailer, the creepy voice over, and the action and visuals look stunning. Suckerpunch follows the journey of a girl attempting to escape from a mental hospital from back in the old days. She recruits some of her friends and lets her imagination take over. Okay, so the concept doesn’t More >
