Tron and Daft Punk Get Derezzed
Oct 27th
Here’s a Tron Legacy video and a slick track sample from Daft Punk all in one! The track is called Derezzed and just one of the computer-enhanced blips of genius that will be included in the movie this December. It’s like the fries with the combo, or the drink… Or the bowl of soup depending on how healthy you are… Anyways Check it out below in all of it’s glowing blue-y lightness. Holiday movie season should be a good one.
I Am Number 4 Trailer
Oct 26th
You’d think being 4th would be considered kind of a bummer. In Olympic terms you didn’t even get the ugly medal (ZING! I apologize). But the trailer for I Am Number 4 looks pretty cool. I like low-key sci-fi action flicks a lot. They’re the type of flicks you can turn on during the day on a weekend and just have on in the background. They’re fun and exciting at times and usually play on television for free pretty soon after being released.
Well, I Am Number 4 looks to be in this category. Produced by the Transformers gang of Steven Spielberg and Michael Bay and More >
Doc Brown On Fringe!!!!!
Oct 22nd
Fringe’s guest stars over the years have been amazing. From Spock to Robocop and now Doc Brown! That’s right, Christopher Lloyd will be appearing in this season’s 10th episode playing a musical icon that Walter adores. Can’t wait and if he drops a “Great Scott” line I might faint.
This will be the second throwback to Back to the Future on Fringe. If you recall back to last season’s episode about Peter’s past you might remember the Observers coming out of a movie theatre on “the other side,” that was playing Back to the Future starring Eric Stoltz. More >
Vote On Who Conan’s First Guest Should Be
Oct 22nd
Ah yes. In true Conan O’Brien fashion, the red-headed giant of late night is asking the fans who his first guest should be on his brand new show. Can you imagine how great other talk shows would be if we didn’t have to sit through boring interview after boring interview with sleep inducing ‘celebrities’ talking about how difficult it is to live with money and fame while they sit across the desk of an untalented comedian with a giant chin…? (yikes, that rant started without even trying…)
Anyways, yes, Conan is asking for your opinion but only in a truly Conan way. The More >
US Skins Looks Like Shit
Oct 22nd
I gripe about badly remade UK imports like The Office all of the time. I’m sure I’m a minority with all of this, but I’ve got a special kind of respect for originals. Remakes of television shows hardly ever compare to what they used to be and the MTV US version of Skins is probably the worst yet.
I’ll be honest, I’ve seen nothing of the US version other than this promo spot, but at the same time I’ve never been more appalled by how obviously unoriginal this is. Shot for shot, name for name (almost) and line for line the people over at MTV have taken an More >
Marty McFly and Doc Brown Honoured At Scream
Oct 21st
Was anyone else just a bit disappointed with the Back to the Future reunion the 2010 Scream Awards was pushing so hard this week? I mean with some great promo spots and lots of news leading up to the appearance of Michael J Fox and Christopher Lloyd you’d think it would have been huge. I understand that the two of them were probably ridiculously uncomfortable up there in front of all of the fans, but it would have been nice to hear like a bit of a funny story or something.
On the other hand, the promo has done it’s job and I’ll probably More >
