Trippin
I don’t leave the comfort of my desk and jammies very much so when I do, it’s kind of a worldwide event.
Some Stuff About Dark Knight Rises
Dec 12th
Morning all,
I did a big “Ninja-Vanish” the last, I don’t know month? Sorry about that. But behind the scenes there’s a very legitimate excuse for going dark: I’m really REALLY lazy.
So now that the excuses are all out of the way, I’m here to confess something. I’ve been trying my hardest to avoid any news, photos, trailers, rumours – pretty much anything, about Dark Knight Rises. I know, I know, usually I’m posting a whole bunch of rumours I read from unreliable sources that tend to be false (I avoided the Del Toro as Kahn one like the plague though), but I’m trying something More >
Sweet Home (not really) Chicago
Jun 6th
So part II of the annual vacation meant the GF and I were off to Chicago. Home of the Bulls, the Blackhawks, the Cubs and the White Sox. But this wasn’t a trip about sports, this was a trip about pigging out. Hats off to the men and women on the food industry in this great city, their job is unmatched by any I’ve ever experienced. From gourmet hot dogs at Franks & Dawgs, to one of the best pieces of steak I’ve ever had at the Chicago Chophouse, this place was heaven on the bone. Check out the photos More >
Been To Hogwarts And Back
May 30th
Morning all,
This time I’ve got a valid excuse for not being around for a while. I’ve actually been on vacation! Last week the GF and I flew down to Orlando Florida to take in the sun, the experience of Universal Studios and the brand new Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Needless to say, it was spectacular. A few highlights? Okay then:
Went to Bubba Gump Shrimp, you know, the shrimp’n boat company from Forrest Gump. Well it turns out the restaurant chain actually existed before the movie, but since Ton Hanks ate a box of chocolates it’s really taken off. That, and Bubba More >
Embarking Soon
May 19th
Going to throw a bit of a twist into today’s post because it is time for a much needed celebration. And by celebration, I mean vacation. Phew. It’s been a tough few months in the last little while, but for those of you aren’t already aware,
I’m Taking My Talents To South Beach
Kind of. Okay, seriously though, I’m headed out of town for a little while but I’ll be back in due time. The GF and I will be testing our magical skills in Orlando as we’ll be visiting Hogwarts. That’s right. After that it’s a quick trip up to More >
The ABC’s of NYC Part 3
May 14th
Morning kiddies,
This is the third and final installment of the ABC’s of NYC. I’ll be back to my regular postage of meaningless trivial events and announcements on Monday, but until then…
S – SOHO. I think I made a mistake in staying in the heart of Manhattan. When I got to SoHo for the first time I just knew it. This is the place I’ve been hearing about, seeing on TV and subconsciously wishing I was from. SoHo (South of Houston) is a dream. With just a few main streets running through the small area surrounding some NYU buildings, it reminds More >
The ABC’s of NYC Part 2
May 13th
Morning kids,
Back again with the second of three installments of the ABC’s of NYC. Got a few more photos at the end of this so go ahead and skip all the words if you want. Just know that it’s going to take me the better part of my morning putting it together and reading it through would be courteous…. That my friends is how you play the guilt card. Onto the goodies:
J – J-WALKING. I noticed this as soon as I got into Manhattan. People pay absolutely no attention to street signs when walking. But it’s a strange mutual agreement More >
The ABC’s of NYC Part 1
May 12th
Morning kids,
First, a short acknowledgment about our beloved Canucks. Let us bow our heads in silence as our 2010 Stanley Cup hope fizzled and died last night.
(Silence)
Okay, now onto much happier things. This is part 1 of 3 the ABC’s of NYC. As some of you may have been aware (Mom….) I was in New York City last week soaking in some sun, some fun and some much needed relaxation. Would have spent the rest of the month there had the emptiness in my wallet not ensured my return home. So here we go:
A – The Big APPLE (Okay, that was a really More >
Frank Sinatra Could Not Have Been More Correct

Not my image - still uploading so I stole this from Google
New York New York!!!
I’ve returned with an empty wallet, a full stomach and a head overflowing with inspiration and visions of Greene St. Yes, as you may have already guessed, I took a much needed few days and ventured south to the Big Apple. No, I didn’t take a double decker bus around Manhattan, nope, didn’t even go see Lady Liberty – I went to veg, relax and recharge. It just so happens that my wallet took the biggest hit. I’ll be posting a few trip-centric thoughts in the More >
