Anything and everything that is not work related
Playstation Home

Playstation Home
I recently signed up for, downloaded and started using Playstation Home for the PS3 and first impressions haven’t been great. The interface is nice, the concept is there, but right now the whole experience just seems incomplete. It’s still very much in Beta, so I’ll be nice, but at some point there has to be a reason for it.
The micro transaction concept is something that Playstation has been waiting to tap into for a while now, but after going through the experience of signing up, learning about the environment and walking around for a while, I’m not sure if More >
The worst week for hockey fights
Jan 4th
I’m sure many hockey fans have heard the tragic fate of Don Sanderson. After getting into it with an opposing player, Don hit the ground sans head protection and ended up in a coma. Sadly, his life ended this weekend. Fighting is going to be debated for as long as people can speak, it’s just one of those subjects that people have an opinion of. For me, I think fighting is just a part of the game – but only for certain players.
There should be some rules put into to protect the players, but fighting should remain. Unless of course More >
Pete The Meat Puppet

Pete the Meat Puppet
I enjoy experimental filmmaking. I enjoy seeing new and exciting ways to tell stories. But this? This is just way too creepy.
Pete the Meat Puppet is a Diesel campaign created by Milk Studios out in NYC. I’m not excatly sure what the motivation behind it is other than possibly capitalizing on the strange. To me, this is just a little too freaky and makes me want to eat a salad….
Do I have a resolution?

Yet another Sports Rant
Dec 29th
So yesterday was this all-important day for NFL football where the playoffs were finally determined. First I’ll explain why this was good:
Drama in sports sells. It creates hatred and disappointment amongst the many fans and people are able to slip away from their recession-obsessed lives and think about something as meaningless as American football for an entire day.
The problem with all of this is the math involved. If Team A wins and Team C loses, then Team B will get a Wild Card – BUT if Team C ties and then Team B loses, then Team A will be granted More >
Star Wars Marathon

The duo trilogies
My Christmas wish every year is always to do something I’ve never done and enjoy the crap out of it. Well this year was no different when I decided to sit down and watch the entire Star Wars Series from Phantom Menace to Jedi. Done…. and what a sweet ride it has been.
My emotions went on a 12 hour roller coaster ride from curiosity and interest in animation to disappointment in storytelling, back to respect for Mr Lucas and finally sadness that the tales of the Skywalker family are now over.
Needless to say, it was an interesting trip More >
Way too much food
Dec 26th
I’m at that moment in life where I’m seriously going to get my eyes checked. Eating that much food in one sitting is religously impossible and the gods are punishing me…..
Hope everyone out there in the blogosphere had a wonderful holiday – and even if you don’t celebrate the birth of the long haird guy in the mel gibson movie I hope you had a great day off.
That was lame, but this is a picture of the newest addition to my household.
