Nissan’s Juke Site Is Fantastic
Feb 8th
Say what you want about Flash development and all of the possible pitfalls, but sometimes you just have to sit back and marvel at what some companies are able to do with the technology. I actually don’t have a huge problem with Flash because I believe in the content. Call me crazy or just call me a believer, but if the content is great, the site doesn’t need to have the world’s greatest search capabilities.
Anyways, here’s an example. Check out this link to Nissan‘s latest Flash site. The campaign/site is called The Nissan Juke Experience and for what it’s worth (probably nothing coming More >
Reactions To Anna Hathaway
Jan 21st
The news of Anna Hathaway being cast as Selina Kyle in Christopher Nolan‘s Batman: Dark Knight Rises is making a lot of noise lately over the Interwebs. I’ve been extremely tentative to chime in on any of this in fear of this being a big thing when it doesn’t have to be. Not only are the comic nerds piping in
“Dude, Princess Diary is going to be Catwoman?”
But it’s really giving people some perspective on how the story is going to take shape. First up, Nolan has not confirmed in any form that Anna Hathaway is going to be Catwoman. All that is confirmed More >
Playboy Does Tron…. Yup
Dec 15th
So the title will obviously tell you not to look at this with your boss hovering over your shoulder… You know, unless you work in one of those ultra free spirited offices (we can’t all be so lucky). So here’s the deal, if you’re not at work or any place where you’ll get reprimanded for looking at something like this then go ahead and click through.
If you are at work and you just feel like taking the chance, remember, Cyrus Matthew Daniel Howard sent you this link.
So I’m pretty sure Disney didn’t approve this, but I’m also a little surprised Playboy doesn’t More >
Alcatraz Beefing Up Cast
Dec 1st
Morning all,
After the disappointment that was Undercovers, I think JJ Abrams needs to go back to what makes him such a fan favourite. A steady mix of sci-fi, action, mystery and comedy is what makes his projects so entertaining so with the announcement of Alcatraz we should all hope that JJ will be heading back to these roots. Now, to be fair, I only watched the pilot of Undercovers, but in my defense, that pilot was so bad I couldn’t bring myself to return to the series.
Good for JJ for moving on so quickly and I’m kind of excited for Alcatraz. The story sounds More >
Loving Jay-Z’s New Site
Nov 10th
I have a thing for digital experiences that guide users through a story and with Jay-Z‘s latest online venture Jay-Z Hits Collection Vol. 1 it basically uses everything that’s making the web a unique interactive experience. The site has style, personality, usability, organization, voice and above all, a ridiculously strong narrative line throughout. Okay, I’ll stop gushing about this and just share the link.
Hope you enjoy as much as I do.
Martin Sheen As Uncle Ben
Nov 5th
Looks like the principle cast for the Spiderman reboot by Marc Webb is almost complete as the news of Martin Sheen playing Uncle Ben came down the wire yesterday. So to date that gives us Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacey (although I think she looks a little more like MJ…) and Rhys Ifans as some kind of villain and now Martin Sheen as Uncle Ben. I guess that leaves Aunt May.
I think it would awesome if there was some kind of conversation in the new flick where Uncle Ben goes a bit senile and starts talking to Peter about his time in the More >
Tintin Images
Nov 2nd
Remember that guy named Steve Spielberg? He’s kind of a big deal in movies. His credits might ring a bell if you search for his name on the Internet or something….. So, along with a bunch of other things currently on the go for Spielberg, he’s been knee deep in mo-cap for his latest endeavor, The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn.
The animated Tintin flick is a combo job from the Lord of the Ring himself Peter Jackson and Spielberg. I’m sure there’s been a ton of Hollywood support surrounding this thus far cause if you want a sound investment in the movie More >
