The Social Network (Facebook) Movie
Jun 30th
Morning Kids!
Just a quick one this morning, but I thought I’d bring a trailer to your attention. Sadly, I’ll probably end up watching this at some point in my life, but I really wanted to share how ridiculous the trailer for The Social Network looks right now. The intense music and voice over make this sound like an amazingly dramatic story. But as reality tells us, it’s just a couple of computer nerds arguing about money….
A high point for me is the text that pounds in:
Pretty cool huh? Love it.
Hang on while I post this to my wall. More >
Random Japanese Movie Trailer Ignites Nerd-Gasm
Jun 29th
Ever since someone sent me that Japanese trailer for the new Stallone flick Expendables, I’ve been on the look out for more awesome Japanese renditions of American movies. Well, during this hunt (yes I hunted like a caveman for this… sort of) I stumbled upon a trailer for an original Japanese movie that actually looks better than anything I’ve seen come out of our side of the world in a long time. I’m not going to compare this flick with Academy Award winners or anything, but if you think back to some of the space war flicks that have come out More >
Meet Michael Fassbender AKA Magneto
Jun 28th
Morning kids!
I know I posted just a little while ago about X-Men: First Class, but at that point the casting of Magneto was just a rumour. Well, time to stamp one of those rumours as TRUE as Michael Fassbender has signed on to play Eric Lehnsherr AKA Magneto. So who is this guy and why is he so special all of a sudden? Here’s some background info on the man that will dawn the red helmet (or at the very least bend something with his mind).
Michael Fassbender is a German-Irish actor you might recognize from Inglourious Basterds. Although he wasn’t Brad Pitt, he was More >
Trailer For RED Looks Interesting
Jun 25th
Hey check out this trailer for a new flick called Red starring Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, Mary Louise-Parker, John Malkovich, Helen Mirren and Karl Urban. Wow, that’s a lot of people… Anyways, the concept is once again adopted from a comic book (as evidenced by the DC intro) but it seems cool so far. A bunch of CIA agents are trying to deal with retirement but instead of strolling quietly into the night, they reassemble their original team after one of them is almost murdered. Okay, not so original, but there’s something about Weeds star Mary Louise-Parker that is just so adorable.
It’s On Lea Michele… It’s On Like Megatron
Jun 24th
So the word around town (and by town I mean the Internet) is that YouTube star Charice will be joining the cast of Glee next season playing an exchange student. Who’s Charice? Well, I had to look her up and when I figured out who she is I felt really uncool for not knowing before hand. Anyways, Charice is like this international singing star from the Philippines who blew up on YouTube and the mushroom cloud is finally reaching a mainstream audience.
What’s her thing? She’s tiny – like really tiny. But she’s got a voice that you won’t be able to believe until More >
A Few New Trailers
Jun 24th
Morning kids,
It’s almost Friday, just hang in there – like that cat… In the poster… you know, the one that’s like hanging on the clothes line or something… Am I all alone on this one? Anyways, I apologize for confusing the snot out of you, but I promise, this post has a point. Check out three new trailers released this week.
First up, Predators. Directed by Sin City‘s Robert Rodriguez and starring A-Brod and Larry Fishburne (and Topher Grace of all people) it looks like it could be a fun watch. I wouldn’t expect too much from this considering the Predator franchise has been done and More >
Hello iOS 4
Jun 23rd
I know that it’s like the cool thing to do to rip on Apple for all that they do, but I really do have to tip my proverbial hat to them today for releasing iOS4. If you’re unaware of the free update and you own an iPhone, iPad or even iPod Touch, you should really go an download it now… Seriously, like now
LIKE RIGHT NOW!!!! AAAGGGHHHHH
Phew… Sorry about that.
iOS4 for the iPhone 3GS is actually quite an improvement and to be completely honest, I don’t really care how they came to these decisions or who came up with the ideas first. The fact More >
