MacGruber Looks MacShitty Already
Jan 7th
I’m not a fan of flicks that are born out of comedy sketches. It didn’t work for Ladies Man, it didn’t work for Night at the Roxberry and it’s not going to work for MacGruber. I’m sorry, but Will Forte as a lead character in a feature film? He can barely hold together a Pepsi commercial let alone an entire feature.
And, to top things off, it looks like his costars include Ryan Phillippe (yeah… another winner). Hopefully the likes of Bill Hader and Kristin Wiig can save this from complete disaster, but I wouldn’t hold my breathe. And how many people want to put down money More >
Are You Friggin Kidding Me?
Jan 6th
Okay, hold on a minute – a Taco Bell diet? This is like an Andy Samberg SNL Digital Short right? Apparently not. I guess the whole “Hi I’m Jared and I lost a million pounds eating sammiches,” concept has caught on like 15 years later to other fast food companies. This latest campaign by Taco Bell seems fake, but I’ve gone to the site and it all looks legit.
So, and bare with me here, you can scarf out on tacos all you want and some how lose weight? I’m not a huge Taco Bell fan in particular but I likes me More >
Andrea Anders

Anyone out there watch Better Off Ted? I’ve been following this show for a while now and with the second season well in, I’ve started to notice the timing and skill of Andrea Anders. Anders plays Linda Zwordling, the product testing, hilarious female voice of the show. Better Off Ted actually began as an introduction to Linda’s company Veridian Dynamics so we get to see stories unfold around her as she gets to know her coworkers and working environment. Although product testing isn’t a new concept, bringing this aspect to the small screen on a weekly basis is quite new. As More >
Holiday Time Equals Fringe Marathon
Jan 4th
Morning kids,
So what did you do this wonderful holiday season? Me? I holed myself up in my apartment to avoid the tundra that is downtown Toronto and threw in the first season of Fringe to enjoy. I’ve seen every episode a few times before last week’s marathon, but I’m beginning to think that Fringe is one series that I can re-watch quite a bit. Similar to X-Files, the JJ Abrams, Rob Orci and Alex Kurtzman series about fringe science has so many things going on at the same time that you can really lose yourself within any number of story lines the series More >
Happy New Year and with it, Team Canada’s Olympic Hockey Team
Jan 1st
Hi kids,
Happy New Year!
Alright, now that the celebration is out of the way, here are a few comments on the news of Canada’s Mens Hockey Team for the 2010 Olympics.
First up, I think it was a really smart PR move to announce the team amidst the World Junior Championships in Saskatchewan. Not only does it complete the full circle of the brand of Hockey Canada, it lets the kids actually playing in the WJCC see what they could eventually achieve in their careers. The other high note for me is the way Stevie Y picked this team. It was almost as More >
