Mid Season Finales
Dec 10th
This whole concept of stopping all regular TV shows over the holidays is starting to get on my nerves. I had just started to get a rhythm down for which shows I would watch on which nights and all of a sudden all of them start going on 3 month hiatuses. I’m sure I could find something else to watch in the meantime, but all that does is add to already full schedule when everything returns.
Okay Okay, I’m basically complaining for the sake of complaining with this, but as I was watching the mid season finale of Glee last evening (great More >
Well Hello There Toronto Winter
Dec 9th
So after holding out for a good three months, Mother Nature has decided to pick today to show me what living in Toronto is going to be like for the better part of 10 months. I’m not upset at this by any means, but I was getting used to the teased cold and the ill advised rainfall. I guess a few inches of snow isn’t going to kill me.
Who am I kidding? This is ridiculous. I can understand that because I’m no longer living in Vancouver it is going to take some time to adjust but as soon as I More >
Tim Depp or Johnny Burton?
Dec 8th
Seriously, I’m all for dynamic duos. There’s Batman and Robin (sort of), Holmes and Watson, Han and Chewy – but when actor slash director duos are formed it gets to be a bit much. Take for instance Ron Howard and Tom Hanks. Yes, both are pretty amazing in their own right, but after a bunch of flicks together, I think things are getting a bit stagnant with all of the religious code deciphering in Europe. Well, I think Ron Hanks has some competition in Tim Burton and Johnny Depp.
When the duo got together and made Edward Scissorhands all those years ago, who would have guessed it was eternal More >
Courtney Ford is a Fox
Dec 7th
It’s that time again folks. That time where I get to explain the subtle hotness of a character in a TV show that probably gets glazed over by most. I’ve done it for Jessica from True Blood and Santana from Glee, and now? Christine Hill from this season of Dexter.
Who? Well if you’ve been following this season you’ll recognize Christine as the pint-sized Miami reporter also posing as Quinn‘s latest fling. But recently we’ve learned that Christine actually plays a much more important role in this season’s arc as she has been identified as Trinity‘s daughter.
Okay, enough spoilers about the show and onto the More >
Can Ironman 2 Live Up To The Hype?
Dec 4th
The blogs are all the Twitter lately with the new posters dropping for Ironman 2. The sequel to John Favreau‘s Marvel comics hit Ironman is set to fly into theaters next Spring, but along with the hype comes the criticism and the high expectations to live up to. I’m sure most of you have seen the first one and if you haven’t, you at least know of it so I won’t go into story details, but what I will mention is that I2 has a lot more star influence than the first.
Gone are Jeff Bridges and Terence Howard and arriving are Mickey Rourke, Scarlett More >
Captcha Asked Me To Type It… I Swear
Dec 2nd
For those of you who are wondering what Captcha is, you’ll recognize the pic above. Anyways, I understand that Captcha randomly generates words for users to type to prove that we are in fact living, breathing, bleeding people, but I wonder if someone out there monitors the order of the words. As you can see, I was instructed by Facebook‘s Captcha mechanism to type the words
Tugging Stephen
Errrrrr, What? I don’t know Stepehn and I definitely don’t want to “Tug” him…..
I wonder what would show up if I threw that into lord Google? Maybe I’ll try that when I’m in a more More >
Cornrows + Jackie Chan Does Not Equal Karate Kid
Dec 1st
I’m sorry but this really needs to stop. Remakes are destroying our memories and the normal generation gaps that bring people together are becoming blurred. No I’m not talking about global issues like the environment or the development of the third world (or lack thereof for that matter), I am in fact talking about this ridiculous theme of remaking versions of films from our past. I know these all started a long time ago, but I started to notice the downfall of film making and the subsequent rise of remakes when Terminator Salvation was announced. I had major problems with that More >
