Kick-Ass Drops A Few Posters
Nov 6th
Morning Kids,
Just thought I’d drop in and let everyone know that IGN has posted some pretty kick’n movie posters for the upcoming Kick-Ass. If you’re unaware of the flick, I wrote some words about the comic character on Killahbeez here and here. Go have a look when you can – it’s interesting if you’re a comic buff. What I really like about this poster is the way they can connect. Yeah I know, it’s quite primitive in this here digital age, but the simplicity reminds me of collecting toys from cereal boxes for some reason. Anyways, have a look below cause I More >
The Only Night I’ve Ever Cheered For The Yankees
Nov 5th
Congrats to A-Roid, Jeter and all of the over-paid, over-hyped and over-weight Yankees for winning the World Series last night. I’m not going to lie, I cheered for the Yanks, but not for any reason other than they were leading the series and baseball is FINALLY over this season. For those of you who know me, you already understand my frustration with baseball as a spectator sport. Sure you could say I don’t appreciate the game for what it is, the fact that it’s a thinking man’s game or that baseball is more like a chess match – but I hate chess More >
I Don’t Know Who I’m More Embarrassed For

Pepsi or The Oympics.
I watch a lot of Hockey Night in Canada. When you have no cable and you have to stream all of your media from a laptop screen, the options are quite limited. Because of this I’m forced to endure a ton of terrible ad campaigns and embarrassing ideas that come out of consistently weak creative market (my gripes with CBC are well document here).
Well here’s the latest and possibly the worst of the bunch. If you watch Hockey Night in Canada, then you can probably tell where I’m going with this already. Pepsi in conjunction with Facebook is running a More >
Prince of Persia Trailer Splatters Browsers Everywhere
Nov 3rd
From the filmmakers who brought you a trilogy of movies based off of a ride at Disneyland comes a summer action flick based off a popular 80′s video game… Please contain your excitement as I will try my best to do so as well. Disney‘s big summer bash will be a feature live action version of the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (check the Bruckheimer-esque trailer below) with the lead character being played by a buff (CG enhanced?) Jake Gyllenhaal – often referred to as Donny Darko.
Am I cynical? Yeah probably, but I really can’t say that I’ve ever seen a More >
Feelin Kinda Homeless
Nov 2nd
So I’m back in Toronto now after a gorgeous week in Vancouver. I say gorgeous because in the entire week I was back in my own apartment, it only rained twice… Anyways, I’m kind of feeling homeless right now but not in like a sad puppy-dog at the shelter kind of way, nor in a gross dirty-begger kind of way. I’m feeling homeless because I just had a conversation with someone in the office where they asked me how my trip to “The West Coast,” went. I corrected him telling him I was actuall at “home,” then he proceeded to correct me More >
