Pre Observer Michael Cerveris
Nov 18th
Hey Fringe fans, I’m not sure how you will react to this, but after hearing about this week’s Observer focused episode I did a little research and found some pretty interesting facts about actor Michael Cerveris. Recently we’ve associated Cerveris as the bald albino creepy dude who has some strange preferences when it comes to sandwich choice, but what you might not have know is that our beloved Observer is in fact a Broadway Vet.
Singing and dancing isn’t exactly the first thing that comes to mind when you think of the Observer, but it really does show this guy’s range. Okay, maybe More >
What About The Visitors?
Nov 17th
So I’ve been watching all of this footage on Canucks.com about how amazing this new locker room is for all of the players. A lot of people have been writing about how Star Trek the whole thing is and all of the perks players get with it. Well, after sitting through like 4 different documentaries on the creation of the thing, it got me wondering, what about the other team?
I can understand the reason why the Canucks would want to give themselves a home-ice advantage, and what says “advantage” more than a full fledged cappuccino machine?
But for the visitors you can More >
When Did The Rock Go Soft?
Nov 16th
I was riding the subway this morning and opened my eyes to check out the ads that were changed over the weekend. Among the posters for Pirate Radio and some new kind of condom was an advertisement for an animated flick called Planet 51. From what I can gather its about a bunch of green smurfs hiding a spaceman on their home planet or something. Think a reverse-sci-fi version of Harry and the Hendersons, but animated and terrible. Anyways, it wasn’t so much the image that caught my eye, but the fact that the feature voice is none other than Dwayne More >
Date Night Anyone?
Nov 13th
I’m not really sure about this flick Date Night. On one hand you’ve got Tina Fey in all her brilliance and kinda nerd hotness playing a woman married to Steve Carell. Two great actors with comedic backgrounds who know their way around a script. Sounds fine and all, but what I’m always afraid of is over-populating with stars. Think back to terrible flicks like Oceans 13 or any other movie with a ton of the same types of actors playing the same types of parts. Sometimes you just get too much of a good thing. In any case, I think I’ll eventually More >
Dollhouse Cancelled – Fans Are Upset, Whedon Calls it a Wednesday
Nov 12th
You know how all of these moronic parents talk about the violence on TV and video games and how it can desensitize kids? I used to think this was a load, but now that another Joss Whedon gem, Dollhouse, has been kicked to the curb, I’m starting to get desensitized myself. Not with violence or anything, but with Whedon’s shows. Everything (and this is no exaggeration) he has done by ways of episodic television has been chalk full of controversy.
Whedon’s first show, the very famous and still classic Buffy The Vampire Slayer was on the verge of slipping into the grave for More >
Kick-Ass Trailer!!!
Nov 11th
Finally!!!
A movie to look forward to!!!
Nothing against flicks like Avatar, but Kick-Ass looks like it will steal the entire 2010 movie season. Waiting until April of next year will be painful, but if Matt Vaughn keeps dropping little gems like the Kick-Ass poster and this brand new trailer, I’m pretty sure the hype will continue. Early (very early and possibly ilegal and/or untrue) reviews for Kick-Ass have been great so far. The story follows a kid who wants to be a super hero but really doesn’t have any powers. In fact, I don’t think anyone in the story actually has “powers.” Check More >
Timmy B Drops Some Cheshire Goodness
Nov 10th
Been following the production of Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland lately? After a big Comicon push this summer with the release of the first trailer, Alice has gone down the rabbit hole for a little while. Well, this morning the production has released a brand new movie poster with the feature character being none other than The Cheshire Cat. The wonderfully disappearing and manipulative freaky feline looks amazing in CG. Personally I prefer the 2D version, but if he drops lines from the original like:
You may have noticed that I’m not all there myself
and
Why, she simply said that you’re a fat, pompous, More >
Damn You Again Amazon!!!!!
Nov 9th
I’m such a sucker… Plain and simple.
Amazon just sent me their annual Holiday Gift Guide and as soon as I saw the subject line on the email, I heard my bank account scream like someone just coughed in their eye. Sadly, when I see “Hoiliday Gift Guide,” the thought of anyone other than myself doesn’t even register. The gift guide is for me isn’t it? Like Amazon wouldn’t be sending me user-centered lists of goodies for other people right? So if I go and spend like a few hundred bucks on Blu-Rays it’s actually the right thing to do, right?
Jesus, I’m doing More >
