Sunny Days in Philly
Jun 12th
When I returned from the states earlier this week, I wasn’t empty handed. On our way home we stopped by a Target and I grabbed a few DVD’s to hold me over until next TV season starts in the Fall. One of the little gems I found was the first two seasons of Its Always Sunny In Philadelphia – and if you’ve never seenĀ it I suggest watching at least 1 episode. Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia is a cringe worthy buddy sitcom that follows four friends as they navigate through life as bar owners in Philly. The catch is that all More >
Seattle Recap Part III
Jun 11th
I missed yesterday cause well… It was so damn nice out and I tried my hardest to stay outside. For all 2 of you that are actually interested in my daily life (thanks mom) I apologize. Now, back to the Seattle recap.
The final day in Seattle we reserved to be complete tourists. I’ve done this before in other cities, but knowing myself all too well, I knew that I could really only take one day of it. We woke up pretty early and headed down to Pike Market again for our daily brekky. Nothing beats fresh baked goods and the smell of More >
Seattle Recap Part II
Jun 9th
One of the main reasons I wanted to cross the border and go check out the Emerald City was to really experience Pike Market to its fullest. I’d been before, but this was a long time ago and I had forgotten what it was all about. Staying only about 4 blocks away from the market was a treat as the GF and I walked down to the market every morning for a cup of coffee and some brekky.
The first time we ventured down we made sure to see every knick knack and explore every corner. The Pike Market has everything you More >
Seattle Trip Recap Part I
Jun 8th
Even though my post-birthday trip to Seattle was only a few days, the GF and I accomplished quite a bit. Because of this, I’ll split this post up over a couple of days so nobody gets too bored reading through it.
The drive down was amazing. The sun was out and I actually got a terrible T-Shirt tan through the moon roof of the boat we call a car. As with many border crossing travelers, my main concern on the way down south was passing trhough American customs. If you’ve followed my adventures with customs then you’ll agree, that these people generally More >
Fillion’s Castle
Jun 3rd
I’ve gone and done it again – I picked up yet another show I’m going to have to follow come next TV season. The other night the gf and I plopped ourselves in front of the TV for 10 hours and watched the entire first season of Castle starring Nathon Fillion (Captain Hammer, Mal). The drama/comedy follows a crime writer as he researches for his latest book by shadowing a NYC detective. The concept seems simple and probably over-used, but the heart of the show isn’t really the crimes – its the relationship between Castle (the writer) and Beckett (the cop).

Best of the 2009 MTV Movie Awards
Jun 1st
Living in Canada we’re always given free access to, bush-league content when it comes to things like music television. Yes we have a couple of channels “devoted” to it by ways of a little channel called Much Music, but the bottom line is that everything MM is second string. So when Much decides to yank some of the American content floating around on the air its quite an event, just like last night’s 2009 MTV Movie Awards. This year’s awards were hosted by Andy Samberg (Dick in a Box, Mother Lover, Hot Rod, ect.) and was everything you’d expect. Here’s a More >
