Paper Heart – Can’t Wait

Not sure if a lot of people are aware of this project, but once you check out the trailer you’ll probably be interested – Okay, not probably, only maybe, but this is me trying to get people off their couches and into movie theater seat complete with sticky arm-wrests and the fresh scent of BO. Anyways…. Paper Heart is a fiction / non-fiction documentary / feature film about love. Confused? So is Michael Cera. The breakdown goes like this: Charlyne Yi a budding young actress who can be seen in Knocked Up and Semi Pro, sets out on a mission to document true love. She goes across the country with her film crew interviewing everyone from Kindergarten playground inhabitants to Seth Rogan (like there’s a difference). In doing so she meets Michael Cera (Superbad, Year One, Arrested Development) and falls in love herself. At this point the documentary about love becomes a story about love and discovery for the filmmaker. Stay with me, it’s even more confusing… Michael Cera and Charlyne Yi are actually a couple in real life so the footage shown in the film is actually (kind of) fabricated. Anyways, check out the trailer below and let me know what you would classify this flick as; Documentary? Feature Film? Reality TV? Crap? Let me know cause I’m as confused as Cera.
