Pixar May Have Stolen My Identity
I’m sure at least a few of you out there have heard of a little company named Pixar. They make these really interesting looking cartoons and, yeah, a butt-load of cash while they do it. Anyways, their latest film UP features an old crickety man who travels around South America. I haven’t read the entire synopsis, but I have seen the cast of characters. Of course there’s the old man, and apparently there’s a talking dog, but what really struck me (and I have to thank Cyrus Matthew Daniel Howard for pointing this out) is that there’s this chunky kid in the flick that is strikingly similar to what I looked like at about age 9. I’m still sourcing actual imagery of when I was that young (I’m so old that digital photography barely existed back then), but if you have seen a picture of me when I was younger, you’d probably have to agree.
Now, honestly, I was way too cool to join the boy scouts or anything, so the resemblance is really only in the face and, sadly, body shape. Anyways, the characters is known as Russel so when you check out UP when it hits theaters, you might be able to make the connection. And I’m sure Pixar will chalk this one up as a mere coincidence – but I know the truth…..

DEAR PIXAR!
Hi Pixar. I know it’s been awhile since I contacted you, but I think this time apart has gone long enough. How long has it been? A month? I was about 25 years old since I last went to see you and those were some of the best moments in my life. I know you’ve recently had this huge release. I saw Monsters versus Aliens in 3D. I think you’re going to do fantastic in with Up. If you ever have any jobs lying around, I would very much like to have one. I don’t really know why… I don’t even have any transferable skills. I guess it would ‘animate’ me towards getting some. You’re looking great, by the way. Have you heard of the slapchop? It makes great salsa. Haha… well this is awkward… but it doesn’t have to be. You know… my girlfriend still asks about you from time to time. She’s always like… I wonder what Pixar’s up to these days… those were good times we had. You were so great… and even while you sold out to Disney, I loved you to death. Look at me, I’m bringing up all these old feelings. You don’t want to hear this… sigh…. well… it was great catching up. H-hey… drop me a line sometime will ya?
Sincerely,
Darien.
P.S. Why have you stolen Scott’s identity for UP?
