The duo trilogies

My Christmas wish every year is always to do something I’ve never done and enjoy the crap out of it. Well this year was no different when I decided to sit down and watch the entire Star Wars Series from Phantom Menace to Jedi. Done…. and what a sweet ride it has been.

My emotions went on a 12 hour roller coaster ride from curiosity and interest in animation to disappointment in storytelling, back to respect for Mr Lucas and finally sadness that the tales of the Skywalker family are now over.

Needless to say, it was an interesting trip through the progressions of filmmaking. Character development and casting aside, this myth is a great way to introduce one’s self to the movies. It makes comedic attempts, dramatic breaks and develops heroes – something I think everyone needs to learn.

Alas, it’s back to reality and my life can longer be narrated by an upwards scrolling text bar from a galaxy far far away…
