Do I have a resolution?
Dec 31st
Nope. Simply put, I’m not the type to make big changes in my life just because the year is turning over. I find it interesting to watch people gut out a diet for 2 days or try to quit smoking until someone stops watching though.
Cafe Bloggin’

I’m a walking cliche….
Sadly. I’m sitting at Waves Coffee house in Vancouver. It’s pretentious, it’s terrible, it’s wrong – BUT they have free wireless so I’m able to justify. Just waiting for yet another client meeting so hopefully the holiday season will treat me well and I’ll be able to score a sweet contract.

Yet another Sports Rant
Dec 29th
So yesterday was this all-important day for NFL football where the playoffs were finally determined. First I’ll explain why this was good:
Drama in sports sells. It creates hatred and disappointment amongst the many fans and people are able to slip away from their recession-obsessed lives and think about something as meaningless as American football for an entire day.
The problem with all of this is the math involved. If Team A wins and Team C loses, then Team B will get a Wild Card – BUT if Team C ties and then Team B loses, then Team A will be granted More >
The Limbo Period
Dec 28th
There is a week’s worth of every year that always confuses me. We’re in the midst of it right now and I’m not exactly sure what to do with myself. For the passed 5 years I’d been working in offices with a set full time working schedule; but now that I’m not working for anyone anymore, Im not really sure if I’m supposed to be working during the week between Christmas and New Years.
Maybe this is a reason to hire an HR manager – maybe this is a reason to actually find some work!!!
In any case, I’m going to take More >
Star Wars Marathon

The duo trilogies
My Christmas wish every year is always to do something I’ve never done and enjoy the crap out of it. Well this year was no different when I decided to sit down and watch the entire Star Wars Series from Phantom Menace to Jedi. Done…. and what a sweet ride it has been.
My emotions went on a 12 hour roller coaster ride from curiosity and interest in animation to disappointment in storytelling, back to respect for Mr Lucas and finally sadness that the tales of the Skywalker family are now over.
Needless to say, it was an interesting trip More >
Way too much food
Dec 26th
I’m at that moment in life where I’m seriously going to get my eyes checked. Eating that much food in one sitting is religously impossible and the gods are punishing me…..
Hope everyone out there in the blogosphere had a wonderful holiday – and even if you don’t celebrate the birth of the long haird guy in the mel gibson movie I hope you had a great day off.
That was lame, but this is a picture of the newest addition to my household.

Everyone’s White Christmas
Dec 24th
I’m thining all of the kids in the lower mainland gathered one night to ask for a white Christmas, then devoted their years to being good. This is ridiculous. I just returned home after dropping off a friend in Surrey (that’s a story for another time) and had to drive around in this….

Twitter on Facebook
I’ve been using the Twitter application in Facebook and so far it’s been pretty good. I like how it allows users to control both networks with one system. It allows for more frequnt updates without having to go through the hassle of bouncing between the two.
My only gripe? The Facebook “What are you doing right now?” component inserts a default “is” in front of each statement. “Scott L is… making a sandwich.” But the Twitter app doesn’t do this so you have to remember to manually insert the “is” or your statement looks a little strange. “Scott L More >
