James Franco In 127 Hours
So I don’t know if ya’ll have heard, but James Franco has or is about to cut off his own arm… Yup, you read that correctly, but there is some context to this statement.
Danny Boyle, the director of Slumdog Millionaire, obviously reads more world news than I do (to be honest, I think my 6 month old niece does as well, but that’s beside the point).
After reading about the inspirational story of climber Aron Ralston‘s ordeal on a mountain in Utah, Boyle got right on a treatment and script and has since been building the feature film 127 Hours – set to release in November.
127 Hours is a true account of what happened to Ralston when he was climbing. Here’s the short version of what I’m certain will be an amazing narrative assembled by Boyle and his crew: Ralston went climbing one day, got his arm caught under a boulder and instead of just lying there waiting for the reaper, he went SAW on himself. I’ll try not to gross you out too much, but the event does involve a dull cutting object and I’m sure a lot of screaming….
Still no official trailer released, but from the sounds of things, they’ll want to keep this under wraps for a while.

James Francoooo… He’s pretty funny on SNL. Love Danny Boyle movies.

I think he’s quite underrated as a comedic actor. He was the best part of Pineapple and the fact that he consciously went out and decided to be in a soap opera says he has a sense of humour.
